I’m Sofia, Master of Social Work taking a professional break to be with my boys full time. Inspired by the wonderful benefits of sensory play through my journey as a stay-at-home mom I decided to combine my joy for creating with some hands-on activities for my little ones.

Narwhal Sensory Box is a mom-owned local business that curates sensory boxes for little ones. Sensory play promotes kid’s creativity, imagination and exploration. The variety of objects and materials on each box are perfect to encourage free and imaginary play.
On each box you will find homemade play dough scented with essential oils to provide the benefits of the oils into your little one’s play.
SENSORY PLAY!
Sensory play is any form of play that stimulates your little one’s senses; hearing, sight, smell, and touch. This type of play strengthens brain development, enhances memory, helps with language development, encourages problem solving skills, and scientific thinking.
It’s great for fine motor skills which are important for writing and supports social interactions. Sensory play is also great to reduce anxiety.
